Central Illinois Spring Nostalgia Race

If you missed the 2023 spring nostalgia race at Central Illinois Dragway you missed a good one. It was the first nostalgia race under the new track management and they put together a great show for everyone to enjoy. 


    With 30 plus nostalgia super stock cars, 20 plus nostalgia gassers, front engine dragsters, altereds, funny cars, pro stocks and yes, a little nitro in the air courtesy of Hidy racing, there was a little bit for everyone to enjoy. There were cars as far away as Arizona, Kansas and even New York to be a part of the racing action. 


     If that wasn’t enough just before the national anthem, they brought out all the participant’s cars and lined them up side by side on both sides of the track as kind of a salute to all the spectators that came out. It was a special moment for both spectators and drivers!
